How is DeepMusic different from the native Apple Music app?
DeepMusic is a minimalist third-party player focused on one thing: listening and reading lyrics. It reuses your full Apple Music library but presents it through a calmer interface, more immersive lyrics, and flexible customization — without the store, recommendation feeds, or social distractions.
Do I need an Apple Music subscription to use DeepMusic?
Yes. DeepMusic plays music and syncs lyrics through Apple's official MusicKit framework. An active Apple Music subscription is required to fully use playback, lyrics, and widgets.
What is "Immersive Fullscreen Lyrics"?
DeepMusic offers word-by-word scrolling lyrics, a fullscreen lyrics mode, and visual backgrounds that react to the song. You can view lyrics fullscreen in either portrait or landscape and let them take center stage.
Does DeepMusic support lyric translations?
Yes. When Apple Music provides official translated lyrics for a track, DeepMusic can display the original and translated lines together, making foreign-language songs easier to understand. Availability depends on the lyric data Apple Music provides for that track.
What music widgets does DeepMusic provide?
DeepMusic offers a variety of system widgets for the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Dynamic Island, showing the now-playing track, album art, playback controls, and lyric previews — so you can stay in control of your music without opening the app.
What can I customize?
DeepMusic offers rich customization: lyric fonts and sizes, alignment and layout styles, background effects (blur / animated / solid), accent colors, widget styles, and more — so you can craft a listening interface that feels like yours.
Why do some songs have no lyrics or no word-by-word scrolling?
Lyrics data is provided by Apple Music. Whether per-word timestamps and translations are available depends on the lyric version of that track on Apple Music. When only static lyrics are available, DeepMusic falls back to line-by-line highlighting.
Does DeepMusic collect my music data or personal information?
No. DeepMusic strictly follows the principle of data minimization and does not collect or upload any personal information or playback data. All operations are performed locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why can't I edit or delete playlists within DeepMusic?
This is a limitation of the Apple MusicKit specifications. To protect your music library, editing and deleting playlists must be done in the Apple Music app — DeepMusic will never modify your library beyond what you explicitly approve.
Which devices and systems are supported?
DeepMusic targets recent versions of iOS and iPadOS on iPhone and iPad. Please refer to the App Store listing for the exact minimum required versions.
